Scanning Pens Launches Summer Reading Challenge

Scanning Pens is thrilled to announce the launch of their Summer Reading Challenge. This exciting initiative invites children and young people to dive into a world of books and share their reading adventures whilst school is out for the summer. It also aims to raise awareness of the importance of reading over the summer holidays as a means of combatting 'Summer Slide', the process that sees students who don’t read over the holidays lose up to 20% of the school year’s reading gains by the time they head back to class.

Each week, a new book genre will be revealed on Scanning Pens' social media platforms, encouraging young participants to explore diverse literary landscapes. To join the challenge, simply share your progress using the hashtag #ICan, and tag Scanning Pens on that platform.

How to Participate:

1. Select Your Reads: Choose books that match the weekly genre announced on social media. Get creative with it!
2. Share Your Progress: Post updates with the hashtag #ICan. Share photos of reading time, reading dens, and update your literacy roadmap.
3. Win Prizes: Exciting weekly prizes await! Plus, each entry gets you a chance in the grand prize draw. The more you participate, the more chances you have to win!
